Spot search finally added to Gowalla iPhone app

The new Gowalla iPhone update has the search feature which will enable you to search for venues other than the ones found by proximity to the user. This was one feature that was missing in the Gowalla iPhone app that was frustrating to users. Glad to see this in the recent update. You can now search for places and look up information about the venue, look at photos, check-ins and more with out actually being close to that place.
